I want to thank Laura Sykes, editor and principal author of the excellent (award winning, really) blog Lay Anglicana, for inviting me to do some guest things for her a few years ago. It’s been almost two years since I wrote this piece, about how I think the “congregational development” people promoted an intrinsically flawed model of categorizing churches by size/budget.
I hope you’ll not only read my piece, but give Lay Anglicana the serious consideration it deserves. Laura puts out a wonderful set of intercessions and reflections on the Sunday readings each week, which you may find helpful in your own congregations. She also finds new talent to contribute to this really fine effort, and it’s refreshing to hear from people of varying ages and outlooks.
Find Lay Anglicana on Facebook, Twitter, and a bunch of other social media as well.
